Susan lives with her cat Pebbles who is ten years old.

Faced with learning disabilities, Susan faced ridicule at school due to her appearance.

Prior to appearing on Britain's got Talent, Susan received professional voice training in Livingston, Scotland. She had to stop in order to care for her sick mother who passed away in 2007. Her mum was 91.

Her amazing performance of "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Misérables in the TV show, was her first performance since her mothers death.

The day Susan Boyle basically shot to stardom was 11 April 2009. Her performance amazed the world.

Capturing the heart of the world, Susan has taught us all a valuable lesson. "Never judge a book by its cover".
